Timber Recycling

At Waste Smart our main priority with timber recycling is re-use. The main type of timber waste that we handle is timber-packaging waste such as used pallets, crates and boxes. Building and demolition timber waste also represents a high proportion of our timber waste stream.

Wherever possible we repair the pallets, boxes and crates. If these items are unsuitable for repair they are dismantled and the salvaged timber is then used to produce custom made pallets, crates and boxes to customer specifications. We also produce survey pegs, garden stakes, gluts and spacers and pit lids.

Any timber that is unsuitable for packaging or resale is mulched to produce a variety of quality landscaping mulches.
