Timber Recycling

At Waste Smart our main priority with timber recycling is re-use. The main type of timber waste that we handle is timber-packaging waste such as used pallets, crates and boxes. Building and demolition timber waste also represents a high proportion of our timber waste stream.

Wherever possible we repair the pallets, boxes and crates. If these items are unsuitable for repair they are dismantled and the timber is then used to produce custom made pallets, crates and boxes. We also produce survey pegs, garden stakes, gluts and spacers.

Timbers that are of building or furniture grade are placed in our timber yard for re-sale. The timber that we stock is suitable for projects such as fencing, sheds, pergolas, cubby houses and basic renovations . We also stock plywood, MDF and chipboard.

Any timber that is unsuitable for packaging or resale is mulched to produce a variety of quality landscaping mulches.
